Stories with a flashback!

In Literacy we have been looking at stories which include flashbacks. After studying various examples children had a go at writing their own thier own. Nathaniel took this one step further and presented his story using comic life and poser.

As part of our Black and Asian history week we have been studying Jesse Owens. Children have written newspaper reports detailing the events. They then used an online clipping generator to create a newspaper-like effect. Here are some examples.... more to follow...

Wordle

Children have used Wordle this week to create work for a display about community. The theme of the display is hands. The children used wordle to create word clouds, thinking of words that represent the local community. The children then took the clouds into GIMP and tried to include the hand theme.
